IRWA Educational Courses. The IRWA has various courses that comprise a core curriculum and serve a variety of professional needs within seven basic disciplines. The Seven Basic Disciplines of Right of Way include: Negotiation/Acquisition; Appraisal; Relocation; Environmental; Asset/Property Management; Law; and Engineering. Designation and/or Certification is earned through education, experience, and testing requirements.
Faculty. IRWA courses are taught by right-of-way professionals who have:
- Received training specifically designed for facilitating IRWA courses
- Have extensive practical experience within their discipline
- Have demonstrated strong presentation skills
- Have exceptional communication abilities
- Possess the ability to engage participants in active learning
Course Registration. The easiest way to register for a course is to search on this or the IRWA website under Course Search for the specific course you are seeking. Once you have found the course you want, you may register online (requires a credit card) at irwaonline.org or, if you need to pay by check or purchase order, simply print out the course brochure and fax it to 310.538.1471 or mail it to the course coordinator. For more information on specific courses, contact the Course Coordinator listed on the course brochure.
